As you can see the Caves are MUCH larger and full of new and exciting surprises ahead for you exciting journey. These caves are what you can find most common and in plains biomes. These caves are also similar to the 1.17 showcased caves so you can experience that rush of caving months early!
Cave Biomes!
These are one of the three Cave Biomes in the addon. The desert caves! You can find these caves in the underground desert in your world. These caves have a new type of biome stone called Sandy Stone. Also these caves include variants of your regular ores and stone types such as sandy coal ore and sandesite!
These caves are called the Icey caves and can be found in the underground Tundra and snowy plains. Be carful in these caves because there are patches of ice that could slip on and fall in lava. These caves also hold a block called slush which can be used for secret pathways. The caves also have variants of vanilla ores and stone types. The final things about these caves is near the surface levels you will find a light blue stone which is slippery so you might wanna dig down!
These caves are called the jungle caves. Be warned as these are the most laggy caves in the addon because of the advanced generation. These caves have large amounts of growth such as vines and mud. Please be cautious while exploring these caves because you will never know when you could get caught in a vine. These Caves are being removed in the next Update!
Nether Caves!!
Nether Caves! The best place to enjoy the Nether Underground at it's finest. In the Nether Caves you can find all the rare ores of the Nether and explore the Nether Cave Biomes. These Cave Biomes are not as sophisticated or as interesting as the overworld ones and contain different types of netherrack. Each Nether Biome has a new type of netherrack. Please keep in mind that Nether Caves are still being tested and glitches may occur.
End Caves!?
Welcome to the depths of the dark end caves! The end is usually a boring place after the dragon fight well not anymore! Here you can explore the underground of the end and enjoy the new ores here. If you have ever wanted to make an End base now is your chance underground!
New Structures! (Credits to Machine Builder for his FRG program!)
New Dungeon
Tired of the boring old dungeons. Well look no further! This new dungeon is full of exciting loot and secrets. Here can find all sorts of mobs spawning here including Creepers! So good luck exploring and defeating the monsters that lay ahead.
Moss Caves
Welcome to the Moss Cave! Here you can find a mini dungeon, ore deposit, and a miners hut. Within this structure you will see just how perfect this can make as a home or temporary mining station. One way or another you will definitely like exploring this structure.
Crystal Caves!
Welcome to the best structure of all!! The Crystal Cave is full of crystal blocks and rivers. This structure has a mini dungeon, rivers, a geyser, and a small library. You will find amazing loot here which will help you while your in the caves. Beware! The spawning of these can be very glitchy so don’t be surprised if one has generated strange.
New Ores
Here is an image of every single ore in the addon. There are 30 ores in the overworld, 10 ores in the nether, and 10 ores in the End. All will serve a special use within the next few updates. As of now all ores are used for weapons. (Some ores are used to create pickaxes). Don't worry, all ore textures have been updated since this picture.
Underwater Ores
Those lights in the ocean are ores! There are 3 underwater ores that can be found and used. Be sure to look in the water for these ores. Good luck trying to mine these as it may take a while underwater.
Weapons, Tools, And Armor
All weapons, tools, and armor can be found within the creative menu. The battleaxes, swords, hammers, and sickles can all be obtained in the swords menu. All crafting recipes can be found within the crafting table.
Pickaxes
There are only 9 pickaxes in this addon. This is because in the future not all ores will have a pickaxe variant. Each of these pickaxes are made of crucial materials in the addon that will help progression. Those ores are: Nickel, Copper, Hematite, Garnet, Opal, Painite, Kyanite, Voidstone, and Jade. Kyanite can be found in the Nether and Voidstone in the End.
Armor
There are only 5 armor sets so far this will be changing soon. As of now there are Ruby, Tanzanite, Cobalt, Copper Link, and emerald armor. Each of these can be crafted using the corresponding materials.
Helpful Things In The Caves
As you can see in this photo we can see Cave Grass and the Compressor. Cave Grass is a grass that can be found within the caves and when interacted with will light up for a short amount of time. The Compressor is a new crafting device crafted with iron and cobblestone and can compress cobble stone into one block and also turn granite, diorite, and andesite into normal cobblestone.
Working Torches
As you can see when you hold a torch in your hand it will light up the area and follow you. Thanks to ColoringEmy86 for all the help with doing this. Have fun with this feature.
Roots
While your spawning in you may notice roots under grass blocks. These root blocks can be broken for roots which can be used in creating saplings, healing potions, and bonemeal.
Cave Foliage
Crystals
Crystals! These spawn randomly within the caves and provide light for those dark depths. They serve one purpose and that is to provide light and foliage. The blue crystal has also been made 2d to give a 1.17 feel. As said before, this addon is not a 1.17 concept.
Extra Foliage
All foliage includes the green mushroom, purple mushroom, end moss, fury crystal, and moss. All foliage serve no main purpose except making the caves feel more awesome and pleasing. There is also a stalagmite that also serves no use as of now.
Sword In Stone
If your lucky enough, you will find a sword in the stone! If you pull the sword, then you will have power beyond your imagination. If you break it…. you get a piece of something interesting…

Alloy Foundry
As you can see above this is the crafting recipe for the Alloy Foundry! The Alloy Foundry can be used to create alloys which: create new blocks, armor, and a drill! (Crafting recipes found in Alloy Foundry And Crafting Table). The block in the middle is an Aluminum Block

Centrifuge
The Centrifuge! This device can be crafted with compressed cobblestone and nickel ingots (Old Texture)! Using this device you can turn dirt, stone, and other underground materials into vital materials such as ores! All recipes can be found within the Centrifuge.

If you pause your game and select the Cave Enhancements button you will be greeted by a guide screen with all the info shown here and more! This will only work on Pc sadly…
Cave Enhancements Lite!
Due to popular demand on our discord server I’ve created a version of Cave Enhancements for low end devices. This version of Cave Enhancements has lower generation, smaller caves, but has much higher stability. This version is mainly for lower end devices who cannot handle this intense generation. Keep in mind that Cave Enhancements can be unstable and long load times are normal.

Due to extreme popular demand Cave Enhancements has received a whole BUNCH of NEW textures! Made by ExDrill and Warhead, these include new textures for all ores, crystals, crystal items, and all repeated textures! We know you wanted it.
